The short version. SportsCaster Pro sends us enough to activate and validate your licence, and nothing else. It does not send your programme audio, your recordings, your cart library, your keystrokes or your screen.

What the software sends

When SportsCaster Pro activates, revalidates, or checks for an update:

  • A machine identifier derived from your computer's network adapter hardware addresses, hostname, operating system platform and processor architecture
  • The Windows machine name
  • Your licence key
  • The software version
  • The date and time the application started and shut down

When the studio link is used, it sends your licence key and machine name to our SIP service so your endpoint can be provisioned and reached by name.

Why we need it

  • To bind a licence seat to one computer, which is how the licence works
  • To detect one licence key being used on more computers than purchased
  • To tell your copy whether an update applies to it
  • To support you when something goes wrong

Our lawful basis is performance of the licence agreement, and our legitimate interest in preventing unlicensed use.

What we never receive

  • Programme audio, live or recorded
  • Your recordings or log files
  • Your cart library, or any audio file
  • Your configuration, presets or notes
  • Anything you type

Studio link audio travels peer-to-peer, directly between endpoints. Only the signalling passes through our service. We do not receive, record or store your programme audio at any point.

Where your audio goes

To the streaming servers you configure, and the remote endpoints you dial. Those are services of your choosing, outside our control, governed by their own terms. We have no visibility of them.

How long we keep it

Activation and validation
For the life of the licence, and 24 months after it ends. Then deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Start and shutdown events
No longer than 12 months.

Your rights

Write to legal@fusionair.net to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of the data above.

Deleting an active licence record deactivates the licence key, and the software will stop working. Say so in your request if that is what you intend.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to our services. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
